Thanks everyone for your comments and votes, high or low. Some folks commented about the unusual color in this, so I'll try to explain it.
All I did in PS was to adjust curves and some cloning. I did no color shifting or any thing like that. I think the color comes from the fact that this is fresh/brand new green sprouts of grass. You know how brand new grass is always lighter green. also it was slightly wet. Here in California it is the rainy season and everything is returning to life from the brown dry summer.
But, probably the biggest factor was the late afternoon Sun. It was slightly cloudy this day, but the Sun broke through the clouds and just highlighted that part of the gravel road. You can see just at the top of my image where the grass and the rest of the road are not in the Sun and they are a more normal green.

I keep coming back to this one, great pic for the challenge. Bumping it up. The focus, color, exposure and composition are all very nice.

This would fit the Roads challenge to a tee.

Why is the grass yellow?

I love the sun and lighting effects you've captured here. The creative perspective and composition works well too

One of the best of the challenge. It would do great for the road challenge, also. Love the green of the sides and the center. Perfect composition, simple, good light,... The only thing could have done a better picture IMO would have been to make disapear the blue "thing" in the upper centre extreme of the photo. Well done. Go to my faves.

This is quite dramatic, with the bright yellow fields between the tracks.....

It seems over saturated and/or hue-shifted... I guess I prefer colors to be bright, but real.

Nice job- making the everyday thing, a thing of art.

Now this is the first image I've come across where colour shift has been used so dramatically. What an interesting pattern it makes

A very interesting image. I love the play of light on the grass. Had this been a leading lines challenge I think you'd ribbon for sure but still a great image and thanks for sharing it.

Green is good. White is overrated.

Interesting colour, makes me wonder where all the yellow came from.

Hmmm. Not sure how to vote fairly. I don't like the technique, but you've got a nice composition and it technically meets the challenge. I don't see "burst", but I'll let that slide. 7
