Cookies:
100g butter
90g sugar
100g choppet nuts
2 spoons wheat
1 spoon milk

Ornament:
100g Chocolate
1 spoon oil

To make the cookies, mix everything together, put it in a cooking-pot and warm slowly until the butter has melted.
Use a teaspoon to let the mixing on a baking paper. Just put small amount for each cookie because it gets (a lot) bigger. Appropriate amount is about a half a teaspoon for each coockie.
Bake it for 5 to 7 minutes on 200°C. Until they get golden. Let the cookies cool down before you take them off the paper.
Melt the chocolate and blend it with the oil in a low temperature or in a microwave owen.
dip the cookies in to the chocolate and but them on a baking paper and let them in a cold place.

Delicious by them selves or with a cup of coffee.
Enjoy.

My favorite kind of cookie! For the photo, I'd echo some of what you've already heard - focus all the cookies, reduce harshness of lighting, consider different-colored backdrop. None of that keeps me from wanting to eat them!

I absoloutly loved this picture, and I'm gonna think I will like eating it.....

Just a note, I'm guessing you meant 'chopped' nuts... If so, what kind did you use? Peanuts? almonds?

another magazine quality image - great DOF, the lighting seems a bit harsh but in this case works well on the chocolate drizzles - looks great! nice work :)

Composition, color and lighting are good. Your image compliments the dish and makes it look delicious. Technical quality good. Generally speaking soft focus in the foreground, though not bad, is not as effective as it is in the background. This image is pushing that limit a bit. Many viewers will want to see the foreground piece in sharp focus and may find that a distraction as well as the included dish in the lower right corner.

Really nice, though I would have chosen the first cookies as my starting focal point.

Looks tasty! I think the blue distracts from the recipe however.

Looks tasty. Nice shapes and colors. More DOF would be better and would help reduce the out-of-focus foreground.

I like the angle you took this at. All in all I think it's a good shot. I do find the cloth in the background distracting. But other then that well done!

Depth of field is too shallow.

Tasty looking treat! I'm not sure if I like the focal point being towards the back of the dish (leaving the front portion out of focus). Using my wife's recipe books as a comparison here, most of the pictures I have seen tend to have the focal point in the front or middle of the meal and not at the end. I think a little different composition may have helped here. The lighting is also a little strong. The cropping and colors are good!

Interesting pattern created here. But Yikes the color.. that red/teal placemat really clashes with your subject material. Maybe a black background mat would do this nutty paradise more justice.
