01/31/2006 02:19:07 AM
Wow what a moment you have managed to capture, and all so nicely done. Great focus in a tough situation.
01/30/2006 08:01:40 PM
Oh man! What a capture! haha
01/30/2006 07:08:28 AM
I can't believe it. You actually got her peeing. What a shot. That was really lucky timeing. Amazing shot.
01/29/2006 08:18:41 PM
What are the odds...
As I waw adding this comment I noticed the ants for the first time. I wonder why I never noticed before..?
01/29/2006 10:28:22 AM
Technically amazing and beautiful subjects. Honestly, it would be a better image without the effluent, but I have to give you credit on the timing and it's certainly much funnier as is.
01/29/2006 09:03:08 AM
I hope the other voters noticed the small detail that makes this unique.
01/29/2006 08:43:49 AM
Amazing!!!
01/28/2006 10:50:29 PM
10 from me...good luck!
01/28/2006 10:48:45 PM
Is that nectar? In a manner of speaking, I guess. Superb capture. Everything about it is outstanding. Bumping up.
01/28/2006 10:38:45 AM
Super catch; great dof; nice saturation.
01/27/2006 07:07:29 PM
incredible capture!! could be a winner
01/27/2006 04:24:50 PM
great action shot
01/27/2006 02:27:23 PM
This is one of the best captures of a hummingbird I have seen yet. Wonderful detail, perfect focus, great shot! 10
01/27/2006 12:54:06 PM
Okay, I almost missed it. Gave it a 6, but the detail makes this image. 7.
01/27/2006 07:30:22 AM
Great clarity but the colours seem a little washed out.
01/26/2006 11:08:21 PM
You have got to be kidding? Bet you did not know you had this until after you saw it on the big screen. The clarity is perfect and color accurate. Good job.
01/26/2006 10:40:13 PM
and natures called was answered ... LOL ... this is funny and well captured.
01/26/2006 11:57:26 AM
What sweet little birds these are, very nice capture. Is that what I think it is, if so, no wonder you called it "Natures Calling". Once in a lifetime image here.....
01/25/2006 09:49:01 PM
Great shot...Love the shallow DOF.
01/25/2006 07:50:07 PM
LOL what a capture.
01/25/2006 11:38:29 AM
exqusite capture
01/24/2006 03:39:49 AM
I really like this image, but what makes it especially good is for the rarity of capturing the bird having a call of nature.
01/24/2006 02:15:23 AM
Before I saw this, I didn't know that unlike all other birds, hummingbird urine is usually made up of the same clear, yellowish liquid (urea) that mammals produce.

Fascinating shot, well-titled!
01/22/2006 10:57:56 PM
tough shot, I need to try this
01/22/2006 05:56:57 PM
great clarity...color looks slightly off however
01/22/2006 04:46:13 PM
Great capture - ncie and sharp
01/22/2006 04:13:28 PM
One in a million shot. That's all I have to say.
01/22/2006 10:17:05 AM
Great capture. The colours are great.
What length of lens would you need to have to get this?
8
Good luck

This is a wonderfully well executed picture. All the right pieces are in focus, the composition is great and the colours good.
01/22/2006 12:25:25 AM
Wow! It really demonstrates how fast these little fellows move their wings: you got the motion blur on the wings but not on the s**t...
01/21/2006 04:27:01 PM
That is very funny. What are the odds of getting a hummingbird peeing!! Great shot. I bet you didn't even notice that until you checked in on your computer later
01/21/2006 03:59:19 PM
wow. what luck.
01/21/2006 12:25:01 PM
AWESOME!!!! sharp, interesting, and very pretty. I would have added a bit more colour to it and removed the watery stuff underneath the bird:) I wonder what it is. 7 POINTS !!!
01/21/2006 12:39:35 AM
Nice capture, well done
01/21/2006 12:28:02 AM
Excellent capture! Good job!
01/20/2006 10:42:22 PM

01/20/2006 02:45:10 PM
Timing is everything - Nice
01/20/2006 01:43:40 AM
Congratulations on an excellent image, fantastic capture. 10
01/19/2006 07:41:15 PM
Great capture!! I didn't even notice the... umm... leakage, straight away! Haha excellent.
01/19/2006 06:50:54 PM
I think this is probably the most unique dpc droplet photograph ever.
01/19/2006 05:58:44 PM
Is that thing peeing? Good catch!!!
01/19/2006 05:16:54 PM
damn, how did you manage to catch that? Just because of that, 8
01/19/2006 04:24:41 PM
wow those little critters move fast nicely captured. love the colors - it the little guy peeing? I am not sure if this adds or detracts from the pic? Well shot none the less 8
01/19/2006 04:01:43 PM
A slight more contrast to bring out the orange trumpet vine and greens and you get a blue.
01/19/2006 03:09:10 PM
Wow. THAT is not something you see everyday. Sorry I bet this is one of those "If I had a nickle for.." situations. I think the shot is amazing in its composition and color. Not to mention the unusual capture. 9
01/18/2006 10:38:06 PM
I had to back up for a second look here...a true calling of nature! :-) Love the sharpness and the coincidental capture!
01/18/2006 09:26:23 PM
There are a lot of "good" shots in this competition. This is one of the few "great" shots that really makes me say "wow". 9.
01/18/2006 04:21:15 AM
It just doesn't get any better than this!! 10
01/18/2006 12:53:37 AM
talk about a decisive moment!
01/17/2006 07:58:30 PM
Now *that* is something you don't see every day!!
01/17/2006 07:36:05 PM
The is a wonderful shot, great timing on a very fast little bird. 10
01/17/2006 02:51:40 PM
Now, that's amazing! This little guy is hard enough to catch but to catch him in this situation is short of a miracle!
01/17/2006 02:04:25 PM
Oh My God! Knowing how hard it is just to get a clear shot of hummingbirds. . . and on top of it to catch her peeing. You get a 10 from me. If I could double it I would. BOL
01/17/2006 01:13:05 PM
Very cute! It's something different to see a hummingbird going pee! Nicely caught.
01/17/2006 12:59:43 PM
Can't always choose your moment, but this one is unique!
01/17/2006 07:49:26 AM
What a shot! Now that's luck!
01/16/2006 10:07:05 PM
Oh, I remember this one! One of the great spontaneous captures of all time. A little blah color-wise, but jaysus...
01/16/2006 06:09:27 PM
Making room for the next meal I guess? Regardless...this is a great shot of nature in action. Vivid color, great detail..nice "stop action". Love this shot.
01/16/2006 09:29:29 AM
stunning capture. I can't fault it.
01/16/2006 02:25:24 AM
I'm sorry, a pissing hummingbird - this just HAS to score well! Hilarious!
01/16/2006 12:29:57 AM
Its hard enough to catch a good photo of these zippy little guys.... but you caught quite a moment!! Good Luck!
