This is nice, but would be nicer if there wasn't so much JPEG compression.

This is truly beautiful.

Nice execution of an exoected theme. The focus here seems a little soft though, and I'm not sure why you did that.

Nice shot, but a little busy. Maybe more of a skyline shot instead of looking "down" into the buildings.

Nice shot. I was thinking about something similar, but looking from on top Queen Anne. Which building was this shot from? The lights at the horizon appear to be exposed just right, but down in the streets, it seems overly bright. (from smith tower, right?) Photo 9 City 8 total 8

Very busy picture. I see a lot of bluming in all the points of light, I am assuming this is a trade off you made to get more detail in the forground. One of my top picks this week.

does 'postcard' mean good or bad?

Just Awsome!!!! From one washington resident to another

I feel like it could be more clear. You should try closing the aperture more and lengthening the shutter. Sorry if that's not an option on your camera, but that method tends to clear lights up and cuases them to flare rather than to blur.

I gave this photo a ten because I love the way you've captured the city life at night. All the lights in the darkness surrounding it...life never sleeps in a city...great job! KDJohnson

Beautiful image :) It needs a little extra sharpness... = 7 - jmsetzler

a little tilted to the left. a little blurry. otherwise, cool shot.

How is this City Life? Where is the life? This gives me no sense of Seattle.
06/26/2002 02:26:00 PM
I'm simply dazzled by your pic! Wow! If I tried counting all the lights, I'd get a migraine!
06/25/2002 09:47:00 PM
looks nice at thumbnail size but either your resize went wrong or you just have a lot of noise in this. e.g. jpeg artifacts (?) around the bright top of the highrise on the right look terrible. 4

Wow, you managed to fit most of the city in there. This is a view of Seattle that I've not seen before. The exposure seems about right, but the focus is off a little.
06/24/2002 11:04:00 PM
Looks like you took this looking south from the Space Needle. It would also have been nice facing northeast looking over Lake Union. Good night shot. My wife's jealous. Hers never turn out so well:)

Wow...beautiful city Seattle is at night. Love it! 9 (seems a tiny bit out of focus in the low right corner)
06/24/2002 08:14:00 PM
Nice cityscape.....I used to live in Seattle many years ago; it's nice to see the skyline again (more buildings now!)
06/24/2002 07:09:00 PM
Great view, but the focus seems a bit soft. did you try and sharpen the image?
06/24/2002 05:37:00 PM
At first I thought the horizon was a bit lopsided, but then I remembered that Seattle has quite a few hills. Nice shot!
06/24/2002 05:22:00 PM
Like the colours in this - looks a little oversharpened?
06/24/2002 03:09:00 PM
This a nice capture of the city at night but it doesn't convey how one would live life in this fair city.
06/24/2002 02:34:00 PM
I think this is great. I like the little blurring here and there. Very colorful. Terrific!
06/24/2002 01:25:00 PM
nice... : ) why does it look like it's out of focus?
06/24/2002 01:04:00 PM
Nice job. Night shot, nice work. Little bit blurred. Kee
06/24/2002 11:48:00 AM
lil blurry there
06/24/2002 10:09:00 AM
Brilliant picture, "hope you didn' suffer from vertigo"
06/24/2002 08:54:00 AM
oooh...perty lights...
06/24/2002 08:52:00 AM
This is a great pix---its a little out of focus though.Looks like a tripod or braceing against a railing would have improved it.
06/24/2002 03:19:00 AM
WOW just awesome.
06/24/2002 01:37:00 AM
absolutely gorgeous (10)
06/24/2002 01:05:00 AM
A couple of things bothered me about this particular photo. First, the lack of use of a tripod to prevent camara shake (always evident with long exposure shots). Second, image grain.... either due to using a high ISO (>200) or oversharpening. The rest of the image is quite nice though.
06/24/2002 12:46:00 AM
Simply beautiful. There seems to be a bit of noise in the sky, maybe if the shutter speed was a touch faster (if possible).
