 The sun was shining and it was so bright that Rose turned her head away when I called her name. With the black background, this was a dead ringer NightShy.

I hope this playes proper homage to the user whose name I chose to represent!

This is great. Don't know how I missed it. Beautiful lighting. Almost a classical artist portrait. Has a wonderful glow.

This is great. It reminds me of my cat (see my profile pic!), who passed away last fall. My wife and I miss him a lot.
Anyway, back to your picture! Love the lighting and pose! Her turned-away head and downward-gaze, together with this lighting, are very emotive.

8 - Up from 7. Really like this, especially the lighting and pose. Criticism; just wish it were a fraction sharper, although I realize you may have intentionally gone for this 'softness', either way, I like it.

The fur looks so good I want to reach out and pet it. The contrast between the lighitng and background is terrific. a shot to be proud of. Good luck in the challenge. Bumping up to a 10 after a second look.

This IS my favorite picture in this challenge! The lighting is exquisite. And talk about tack sharp. Those whiskers against the black background are reazor sharp. This is absolutely perfect! 10+
