Nice calm image. I like the brightness on the candles, it doesn't work for all images but certainly does here. b/w tones are perfect here too. good luck

Very nice composition--I like the use of black negative space on top and white below to frame the subject.

I like this portrait shot where the subject face is softly illuminated by only the candles we see present. As added interest here pose is lying down on the floor amoung all the tea lights - her expression is one of contemplation as she stares at the little dancing flames. Composition is very good - I think the large amount of negative space above her serves the picture as well. It is a blanket of darkness that 'covers' the lighted objects - they are all that is there that emerges from the darkness. The light only draws our eyes ever more to the illuminated scene and away from the darkness such that we come out of the darkness to join her by sitting next to these candleflames. My only critique is that I would have liked to have seen more distintive detailed candle flames instead of the lighted bloob shapes - less exposure time could take care of that by letting less light in but one would have to be careful as to not have the model's face lost to shadows.

Pretty girl. The harsh lights from the candles take away from the shot.

she looks mesmerized! love the compostion of this, and the B&W works well. The reflection on her arm is a little hot though.

i think you metred on the subject or background instead of candles... thats why the candles are overblown... but a relaxing image 6

This is really cool but a dash overexposed IMHO. The pose is also a little uncomfortable/awkward (it made me twist my head and I hate twisting my head...felt like Beetlejuice). Great concept.

This is one of my favs of the challenge. I like the expression on the models face and the lighting is really good despite the difficulty with using candles, the candles themselves are a bit overexposed, but this doesn't take anything away from the photo. 8

Good idea for the subject but the composition for me is not good, too much black on the top. One would have to cross a little higher than the girl. For bottom the exposure is not terrible, too white, too exposed.
