Very nice shot. Great color saturation and use of negative space in the compostion. Very tricky focus but looks like you've got the whole subject in great focus and detail.... 8

Extremely sharp, great contrast, perfect lighting. If this doesn't ribbon its not because its a poor photo, its because our finicky voters a "more interesting " subject ?? Personally I think this shows extremely professional photography skills. Well done indeed!!

Good choice of background, and of light source direction. Exquisite detail and good overall composition. The beautiful flower tops it all off with a flourish of extra calligraphy and spunk.

You took something very common, and made it special with your attention to detail. The black background and the superb lighting, tack sharp focus and a pleasing composition all add up to one hell of a photo! I even like the border!! 9
