after giving him some change, this homeless man let me take his picture and sat perfectly still. he was so kind and was very thankful
i must have walked by him 4 times throughout my day in toronto, and everytime he would smile and nod at me.

I think suemack nailed it... It's the strength and dignity in his gaze that are overwhelming in this shot. (Granted the tack sharp focus and killer editing certainly don't hurt - LOL) You have an amazing knack for capturing "life" and allowing the world to see it through your eyes. Very cool...

I love it when joey roams freely and shows us what he's thinking. You are good. Very good. I hope that you have a smashing time with your photography for as long as you want to. I would have cropped it differently, but then again, you can do a better job. There has to be a very good reason why I like your work so much.

my day is made when i come to ck out what new pics you have posted lately-i am your no. one fan-this picture is wonderful in b&w i love the fact that your model is positioned between the toronto sun ad. i love the look in his face, the complete detail from his jeans and head shot are in complete focus-i know you get tired of hearing this but if i could ever be as good as you i would give up my day job forever.

thank you, I actually spent awhile to make the burning look rushed and gritty and as an 'explosion' around his head. ;-)

This is your best one of the homeless, in my opinion. His look says it all.

This one's great. Love his eyes. Maybe a little sloppy on the burning...maybe like to see you spend a bit more time on that, looks a bit rushed. Great shot.
