I have a new favorite florist. One reason is because he has interesting flowers and the main reason is because he is open on Sundays and I can go there after church. He also would like to sell my prints...BW florals....can you imagine? He has one that I printed to sell. I'll get some others to him soon.
So anyway this past Sunday he had these. There are two, the lighter ones, Mozart Peach Calla Lilies. The other's name I forget but it is a double bloom that he gets from time to time. So while there may be three stems in this image, there are actually four blooms.
I wanted to do them all together but I knew that I would have to light them so way out of my ken if I shot them altogether. Then I thought...hmmm...multiple exposure. So I did. I first shot the flowers in in regular exposure to see what settings to go with in the multiple. Then I shot the dark first and then the light on a multiple exposure. I shot the flowers in few different positions in the frame. First with the Dark one in between the other two. Then with the dark one over the lights in landscape. This last, the one here, I shot with the dark in landscape and then the light ones in portrait. I thought it odd enough in landscape mode but I thought more odd in Portrait.
I note the exif shows a 1/13 second shutter speed but that was for the lighter lilies. The dark one was shot at 1/6 second.
Post...Layer adjustments for Levels (50% opacity), brightness/contrast and hue/saturation (both 75% opacity). USM. Crop. Resize. USM.

very nicely crafted! it is so cool, what you are able to get out of your camera. and to think you do this with challenges in mind, under basic editing constraints--very inspiring to me, and i should hope to others.

Wonderful photography, clean, crisp, good lighting. The layout causes some eye distraction -lacking smooth eye flow. Otherwise very nice "9"

8 - Very nice. Good color control. Criticism; not much, maybe slightly more 'dramatic' lighting and more symmetry top left corner where the two stems are 'appearing', may have made this even better in my opinion. Seems a little 'spot' below the left calla, pixelish, who knows.
