I think this is one of my all time favorite photos ever on DPC... it is really beautiful, and definitely evokes thoughts of country OZ :-) I spent 6 months on a farm in gatton, QLD. Beautiful photo, just stunning! Congrats!

Wonderful rendition of this cliche as I like the framing of the old and decrepit structure you're shooting in, as well as, the lighting and cloud formation outside. Really gives an eerie feel to this image. A classic!

Like this photo a lot; I think it had a lot of potential. Just wish the foreground wasn't so underexposed to give some "detail" to the wood! Nice composition.

I like the use of the frame / window as a border - and I love the colour of the clouds behind the windmill. It's a shame the blue sky makes an appearance - all clouds would have looked good.

A bit dark, but a wonderful job of framing the windmill. Love the sky in the background.

I really like how the wood borders the image of the windmill. 9

In this challenge with so many hideous borders, I was happy to see yours with a natural border. No.. I was ecstatic! The contrast is excellent and the feel of it being a slight bit off-center works horribly well. One of my two favorite in the challenge.

I suppose it is a cliche, but you've managed to make it unique with your framing and composition.

Nice job of capturing the silhouette, and the color. Beautifully framed. I see a little detail on the left, would like more all around. OVerall nice pic.

I think this is a beautiful photo of a country/rural environment. I wish you had put half as much thought into the titles as you did the photo :) I believe that a title is an integral part of the photo when they are both presented together. Your title makes me feel like you don't really care much for the image. This photo, for me, is a 'window into the past' or 'retrospective view' or 'time portal' or something that supports/enhances the essence of what you have captured in this image. This photo is obviously well thought out and well executed. After planning and pursuing a nice image like this, why not take the extra effort to 'put the cherry on top' with a nice title? = 9

Really nice composition here - 10 for that. I woudl however have gotten rid of teh blue - it doesn;t go with the overall photograph and sticks out like a sore thumb. Also seem to be ever so slightly oof.

Great shot and good luck
