Egyptian Vulture found at Chiba Zoo in Japan, looked like Sid Vicious but I decided to name it differently. Not much done to this image I removed noise on yellow and red channels sharpened, cropped, bit of saturation and that was that.. I thought it looked good enough so why do more...

Vultures are funky looking birds, aren't they? Focus and composition are excellent. Not sure if you were going for the dark look because of how vultures are looked upon or not, but I think it adds to the appeal of the shot. Like the border, too.

8 - Excellent capture, colors, facial detail/texture and seemingly white/contrast control. Criticism; I want to say 'if only' that beak were sharp too, but likely lose the effect on the face/eye, so who knows. Like the contrasting 'softness' of the feathers around the head, but if just a bit sharper/more detail/texture on that skin around the eye (whether or not retaining the soft feathers or gaining more detail in them, either way still effective), as difficult as that might be (and this size doesn't help), likely make this even better in my opinion. Two small 'white' marks, one on the start of the beak and one just below, on the feathers, if natural 'ok', if not then perhaps cloning out or such. Possibly an even tighter crop on the left, although the context is good as is, may also have made this even better, who knows. Not sure on the frame, especially the color(s) and white 'inner'.

What an amazing creature. Like some punk rocker! It's a great photo. I just wish the tip of his beak was as sharp as his face and eye. I've scored it very well.

Strange looking creature, ugly but charming. Image is clear and focused, wonder why tip of beak seems blurred, very well done overall..
