Went to the Dallas Aquarium today with the wife, Heather. The place is awesome. Anyways I did not go looking to shoot something for DPC but thought this fit the challenge to a “T”...hope it does good.

Thanks to everyone who voted...this is my highest score to date...wish I could have won a ribbon but the three above me are well deserved...Thanks again.

Well now I have won a ribbon...feel sorry for the first place finish, that's what has happened to me lots of times I go out shooting and find out that I had a perfect entry to a challenge but it was shot before the challenge had started. Thanks again to all of you that voted.

Leafy sea dragons are not an easy picture to take. I only have one good shot from the Tampa Aquarium in all my trips there and that was on 35mm. Congrats on a well deserving photo!

The best natural history shot in the challenge. The lighting is superb, the sharpness and focus are there, the composition is spot on and there is plenty of information. 10

Not sure what the heck this is, but I gave it a 9 (edit - actually I changed it to a 10) anyway because I thought it was so cool.

8 - Very nice capture. Nice colors. Criticism; like to see the colors even bolder if possible, but difficult with aquarium shots. Even more definition too on the seahorse, but again, difficult. Even though you haven't captured the seahorse close to a rock etc, to really emphasize the camouflage, this still works with the background, but I think had it been 'closer' to a rock/coral etc, would have made this even better, especially for the Challenge.

This is my top pick in this challenge...the colors, the composition are stunning : the seahorse had to be center frame, I agree.. the softness and beauty of this image are incredible...great use of dof.

A true natural disguise, looking very much like sea anemones. You've done well on including the background to show its camouflage. The background looks like a reflecting object though, and I see the rim of the camera. None the less, a very well taken shot.
