I know, it's the 250th picture of windmills I send in, but i've come to like this place at night.
It's so pleasantly quiet, there are no people after sunset, except for the ocasional jogger, only surrounded by nature and windmills.
I also found out that, although there are "only" 19 windmills, there are so many way's to make beautifull pictures there. I could easaly do 200 photo's without being bored.

I guess I am finnished doing these for now, but just wait until it snows ;)

If anybody is interested:
This time I brought all my equiptment that I didn't bring for Stary Night.

My Manfrotto Tripod, my cable release, my flashlight, and a Hot Shoe Bubble Level. It's hard enough to set up the tripod and camera in the dark without falling in the water, or worse, the camera falling in the water.
So the level comes in handy while composing the shot.
Composing in the dark is a bit of a challenge, you can see some silhouette true the viewfinder, but it's not much.
Normaly I will take a quick shot on ISO1600 to see if I composed the shot well enough. Then I use the bubble level to get the camera horizontal.
Don't forget to put the camera back on Iso 100, put it in Bulb, lock the cable release, light a cigarette, shine a bit on the grass. smoke the ciggy, look at the couter of the camera, wistle a tune, listen to the ducks swimming and hope they don't swim into the frame, look at the timer again and release the button on the cable release.

That's about it.

More technical stuff, the tripod was very near the ground, about 20CM above the waterlevel, I found that this gives a better perspective.

I don't care if this ribbons, or if this gets a 5.5 score. I like it, and I think it's fun to do.

Greetings from the Critique Club:

This was your entry into the 'Delicate' challenge. I will discuss faults, tecnical errors and overall view later. My biggest problem with this photo is that it conjures up images of square pegs and round holes:)

Technical:
It is technically A1. You have provided every piece of information anyone could want. Not sure but that cigarette glow could have affected your exposure and made it a tad over exposed by at least a millionth of a second!

Composition:
I can't fault the composition can I? However, it is a pity there was a patch of weeds? whatever by the reflection of the first windmill, Without this and all reflections on the water clear...wow, now that would have been the ultimate photo. I guess the weed was static and not floating past, if it was floating past then it was lax of you to take the shot when you did. Marks will be deducted in future.

Overall:
This is a seriously stunning photo. But it is time you left the windmills alone for a while as everyone knows they are your photos. I think it was ribbon material, but you really must give up smoking!!

The grasses are sharp well defined, nice colors and soft muted clouds. Excellent photo "10"

Simply beautiful! I would have given this a 10 but the lighting on the reeds is slightly disturbing, almost like a touch too much fill-in flash. If it's not, I apologise for the 9 instead of a 10 ;)

Oh my. Perfection in photography. Begs for a largish print, don't it? An eye for composition was poised behind the camera on this occasion.

I like this image because it depicts delicacy from many perspectives - the stillness of the water, the balance of human/natural things, the tradtional approach to wind power and the balnace of lighting to gets the reeds and the sky in this form. A pretty special shot in my humble opinion. Thanks

A beautiful postcard shot, but the "delicate" connection is a bit tenuous.

Great landscape. But I do not see delicate here.

amazing capture! This is beautiful! Everything is perfect, IMO....but having trouble seeing the relationship to the theme of the challenge.

Wow! Another shot of the windmill! Excellent as ever and I love the sky. Wonderful "fish-eye" feel to this.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, wonder who is the photographer of this shot? :)

I like the shot itself but 2 reasons why I didn´t vote particularly high. I am not really that fond of the grass on the right side and think I would have liked it better without it but it´s not really KILLING the shot, just draws too much attention from the lake and windmill and sky.

The other reason is that this doesn´t really speak "delicate" to me and I think it´s in a gray area regarding meeting the challenge but what the hell... Still a nice shot and I gave it an 6.

You should do well with this shot! The clouds look great with the long exposure and the movement in the reeds gives added interest.

Hmmm....sure looks a lot like the "Here's the same shot 4 day's later" posted in the 'Tranquility' shot photographers comments for the 'Reflections...' challenge. ;^)

Did you use a flash to illuminate the reeds on the right? Adds an interesting dimension to this image.

I love the way the clouds draw you into the shot. Stunning, another ribbon ?

You take nice pictures but I don't see anything delicate here and I didn't think your reflections submission was a very good reflection either. Your Corner of the World picture was a better reflection. I'm trying to make this constructive so don't take it the wrong way. You're an excellent photographer but I don't see the challenge criteria being met. Apparently, I'm in the minority because you have a bunch of ribbons. Perhaps it's best if you just ignore my comments.
