Caught a flash right down the barrel of a 300mm prime during a highschool football game.

Knowing the taste of my audience, I don't really expect alot from this photograph. But, hey, what the heck.

Crop, levels, curves, usm

I like this shot. I think it was a creative use of editing to convey a mood.

I think this is one of the most original photographs on DPC
I love it.
Never managed to vote on this challenge. But it would have been a big fat 10 from me. Keep up the good work.
This is amazing

Not from the critique club**

My first thoughts on this photo is "wow way to over edited". As I read what you did and how this shot was achieved I took a second look at it and thought "wow what a unique capture". I think the photo made for an interesting entry for the "what" challenge but not really a photo that could be captured again if you tried to. On that note it probably would have scored a 6 or 7 depending on what other stuff I had voted on first and if I was annoyed at viewing them. I like the composition of the shot and think it would have been a nice shot without the flash. I do like the way the flash had a negative impact on the background of the photo and other photographers as I find it to be an interesting and unique feature to this capture. I would have like to see the player more in focus but I have a feeling thats due to the flash again. Editing wise the only thing I might suggest is playing with the brightness and contrast a bit to tone it down a slight bit. Anyway as I said above its a unique capture for a photograph but IMO just not an appealing one because ofthe flash. Hope this helps.

well my first impression is...this is different. if you didnt expect much from this shot though I dont see why you want it to be criticized but i'll continue doing so anyway.

the flash is way too distracting, it makes the picture very unpleasant to look at, although your cropping is fine, i would like to see more of his shadow cast in this shot.
I dont know what all you did to get the picture look like a negative but its also a bit distracting...perhaps you were just messing around with this shot entirely and wanted to see what we thought. well It is obvioulsy different and thats all it is.

Too overexposed .. at first I thought it wasn't too bad, but it just doesn't seem to work well.

This image reminds me more of a still from some Hollywood movie where a football star is "heading towards the light" The flare on the football player's arm is distracting to me, and it took my eyes a few minutes to see the people in the background because that main light source is so over powering.
