I am really anxious about the scores and comments on this one. I have high hopes for it, but I am afraid I should have waited for a advanced editing challenge so I could have fixed up a couple of hot spots(my nose and rifle).

Hopefully, I won't get any political comments...

My guess: 6.3

Also, the Scuba Bubble and Jump Wings are not mine. I used the only to add to the picture. I was a Marine, but I was never qualified in either.

******Post Challenge Comments******

Was very anxious to see the scoring breakdown on this picture. It was at a 6.4 at one time, so I know it got hammered with a bunch of low scores. Normally, it wouldn't bother me a whole lot, but I just think there were a lot of political votes on this because of the subject matter. I feel that, technically, it is one of my better pictures, so the nine 1's kind of bother me... especially the one that I actually got a comment on. I am happy with the 6+ score, so I am not complaining, just venting a little frustration.

Fantastic photo. Could easily be an advert/magazine. You have captured the nature of special forces - driven, determined, focus and almost invisible.

great work!

This is one of the best I have seen in this challenge. I believe it was the subject matter. This is a global issue here.
Well done!

Wow, I cant believe this didn't score higher. As you already know, I expected it too. Nine one's? Crazy. Oh well, certainly still a very respectable score.

Very dramatic photograph. Using black on the darker half of his face emphasizes the drama here.

Can't believe all this talent is being wasted taking an immature picture of someone pointing a gun at someone else. "1"

awesome lighting here...good stuff...clear and crisp. The best thing about this photo is how the right eye, (his left) is brought out in the middle of darkness. 7

This guy looks lost, I mean is he supposed to be a sniper or something? What's he aiming at? He looks like a girly man to me. He probably wets the bed at night and squeals when he sees spiders. Geez, I don't know what he's proud of - maybe his new makeup set - what kind of dude wears makeup?

I love the light. I think I'd crop just below the elbow. But the use of negative space is interesting. Good clarity of the eyes. I like this.
