I really like the starkness of this shot. It tells a whole different story than many of the shots. Well Done.

Makes me think of a man, hardworking to support his family. Nice photo.

I didn't know that Joey Lawrence operated a coffee shop. I can't say that this looks like someplace where I'd purchase something to consume, but it's a striking photo. The film grain and dirt contribute nicely to the grunge effect, but I think that higher contrast might have given this enough of a kick to push it into ribbon territory. I find both the gold ring and the lipstick on the cup intriguing elements, and I think that either removing them or emphasizing them a bit more could make this interesting image that much better.

I would have liked this shot a whole lot better if the hand and cup were in the same focus as the coins, just having them slightly out of focus like that makes me want to squint my eyes just to see them better and it irritates me. Having said that though I like everything else about the shot, the lighting, the composition, the "feel" and colouration and gave this a 7.

There's something to this image but I can't really figure it out. Could be the grain or just that it isn't very polished...

Pretty rugged image... I like the concept, it just seems a bit out of focus.

besides the fact that everything is grimey and not appealing to me, there isn't much in focus

the hand is kind of out of focus but this is still my favorite of the challenge.

Nice idea, but the picture is very noisy. Too high an ISO?

you must have taken this photo 20 yrs ago lol. very creative. It appears that you put a little more effort into taking your pic than some. A little more dof may of made it even more appealing.

I like the subject. Dirty nails of a homeless guy getting a refill. Would have been better if the whole thing was in better focus (instead of just the change).

Thought this shot was great. Loved the dirty hand and the dirty cup, just to show that not only clean white collar workers enjoy this stuff. I even liked the grain, which added to the dirty appearance of the subject. Don't know why, but I am giving it a 10
