It took 3 pots of coffee and a smattering of creamer experiments (milk, melted ice cream, flour&water etc) to get this shot. The timing was tricky, had to stir, pour, shoot and baby wrangle all at the same time. It's on my dining room table with natural lighting through white wide slat wood blinds closed making a very nice diffused effect.

Edited Exif information I couldn't find it in my new software at the time of sumission and finally read the manual yesterday.

beautiful looking swirl in your coffee...I also loved your title...sorry I missed this in the challenge. The off center composition works well, you basically have 2 colors here and the coffee matches your background. ALMOST WON !

So simple yet so effective. I believe that this demonstrates the strength of good composition. The light is smooth, low and interesting and the overall effect of the black areas gives the image its strength
