Khaos, the tripod, as if that wasn't enough, suffers from allergies and has terrible itchy eyes. Evenings are often spent with him sitting as close to me as he can get with his head strategically positioned so my hand just happens to be in the right spot for scratching. Seems all I do lately is take care of dogs - mine, my daughter's, my mom's.

Crop, slight level adjust, resize, brightness, contrast, usm.

Natural light from the window to his right/picture left.

Update: July 2007 - Sad, so sad. Khaos , as he grew, developed seizures and other problems. He passed away from complications from one of those seizures. He was such a good dog, truly a best friend. He will be missed.

You can truly feel the skin of a white dog with this. Absolutely terrific.

This photo just makes me want to give that dog the biggest hug. I love him!!! What a great capture of his sweet personality -- allergic eyes and all!

Really phenomenal clarity in this shot and I love the crop. Should have finished MUCH higher than it did. Have to assume people didn't get the "corner" connection, because it's a very good photo. Cute pooch.

Great detail and composition. I love the expressiveness in the face. So it's not exactly on-topic, it's still a great photo. Glad to see you back in the game!

Nice dog BUT a portret of a dog is not good enough too describe a specific spot in the world IMO. An off topic picture.

Its seems pretty desaturated. I'd have tried pure B&W as there's enough sharpness to keep the texture. Nice comp and clarity.

Great detail and close up. I like the crop you chose. Some might find it too tight, but I'm a fan of "in your face" portraits that exclude some of the edges. The lighting on his nose works well.
