 Shot on a cloudy day. I was attracted by the complimenting symetric angles of the old building's roofline and the new "landmark" Portland skyscraper's window design. The new building is Portland's tallest and is nicknamed "Big Pink" for it's rose colored windows. This building is probably photographed more than any other in Portland, Oregon.
What I did to the photo:
Stripped color from old building and added angled strokes and noise to "age" the building's look.
Selected the sky and increased saturation and contrast.
Cloned some cloud reflection into the top of the building.
Finally, adjusted full image contrast.

I like the old/new concept a lot but somehow this image doesn't excite, it's just "nice"
