After the result :

I think the fact that I do not have photoshop, costed me a place in the top ten ! For that is why, I could not put unsharp mask and the pic looks really distorted after compressing the pixel size. Also after the sepia tone was done in Picasa, the pic lost its sharpness, donno why. Sadyly, the original was razor sharp.
So the good software costed me my very first top ten finish, and I rue the fact !

There is something about this image: it gives a sense of excitement and morning activity..well composed and executed.

a little to pixely for me

Excellent candid...looks like an amazing place!

This shot has lots of potential - the toning really works here. My eye kind of wandered around a little too much before it settled on a focal point. It was hard to choose between the people at the tables, and none of them have a great facial expression. Overall, this a good shot.

Compression artifacts and halos from sharpening are clearly visible in this image, which detracts from an otherwise solid shot. Selecting an area of interest and cropping more tightly would have removed a lot of the high-contrast edges (one of the factors which will cause a jpeg to quickly increase in size) and allowed you to use a lower compression.

An interesting looking coffee shop. The first things my eyes went to when I look at your photo is the gentleman in the foreground. Then I follow his eyes and that leads me right out of the photo completely - thereby ignoring 2/3rds of your picture, and your photo appears pixelated on my screen. I do like the sepia tone you chose though.

very good choice this coffeeshop, and the angle too

Very nice feel as one can almost hear the voices and the clatter of cups and sugar jars.

I love the feeling captured here. Candid. Makes you want to know what's going on there. The B&W was an excellent choice as I guess the posters would have just led to a cacophany of color. 9

I really like the idea of this photo, the color is great and the real people rock. However, the jaggies/quality are a bit too distracting.

Very interesting scene, just bustling with energy. I like the composition, and the sepia, usually way over done, actually works for me on this picture. However, the image suffers technically from JPEG over compression, digital noise, or something else that makes everything look blocky and jagged. Look at the bottom of the "WITTENB..." sign and the guy's chin. Neatimage, and/or Unsharp Mask will usually clean this up to some degree.

Nice picture. The B&W isn't too flattering here. Everything seems to blend together and some is washed out.

i have to tell you, i LOVE this picture. i love the composition, i love the interior environment, i love the energy and activity. there is a big pixilation effect going on with the picture, though...where i can see the pixils in the forward face, the wittenberg sign, and throughout. and the pixilization really detracts from the power of this image. which sucks for me, because this would have been my 10 had it been a clear shot, i love it so much! dang!

Looks pixelated, like maybe you blew it up too big? Otherwise, well done.

Like this a lot -composition-wise, sepia effect and so on. Pity the quality seems rather questionable.

That looks like a very interesting place. I think I would enjoy that atmosphere.
