 This is a homemade lava lamp. A hole is cut in the paper and cardboard with the light shining up through. I wish I could have cloned the paper straight, but no go in basic. Had to underexpose -2 steps to keep the bottle from blowing out any more than it already is.

Rotate, crop, midtone levels, a little saturation (mainly yellow), USM, border

Didn't realize this was a lava lamp. I gave you a 10 on this (one of only 3 in this challenge). I really like your color scheme and the lighting. I didn't think the bottle looked blown-out, thought it looked almost un-earthly. Plus I think your border looks great and doesn't detract from the pic at all. Congrats on your top 10 and double congrats for 2 top 10's in a row.

Congrats on your top 10 finish. This was one of my favorites. I love the colors in it.
I just read your after the challenge comments. Had no idea it was a lava lamp. That makes the photo even cooler.

Nicely lit, makes the image very mysterious and me curious on what this vodka tastes like. 8 from me, only thing I dislike about it is the backround.

I totally love the lighting in this picture. I also like the border it really ties everything in. Again the light is so nicee! Good luck in the challenge! 10.

Very cool lighting. Compositionally, I'm not sure I like the almost centre placement of the bottle. I think it would have been stronger if it was centred perfectly or more off-centre.
