Not all cats are afraid of water!

This was taken handheld with a 1.4x converter through the fence. There's a fly above the tiger's right ear that shows up pretty nicely in the original image.

I picked this one because the center nose of the tiger lies near the path of the rule-of-thirds upper-right intersection and the face stripes of the tiger seem to circle around that point.

I like to see a photo that is technically right on but I think this picture shows a little extra character in the subject whitch makes it a cut above.

Wonderfully done, pity the eyes are semi closed but a great example of thirds in practice. one of my top pics 10.

7 - Good shot. Criticism; would like to see more focus on the eyes/face. Whilst no 'expert' on the rules, and not only for the Challenge, I would like to have seen this cropped more on the right with more space on the left. The fly above it's right ear is a little distracting, but minor. Nice colors, though would like to have seen them even more vivid if possible. On looking closer, if possible and you had more space at the bottom/fore, perhaps even cropping the top off, and the fly, tighter in on left right, leaving just the tiger and utilizing the 'top row of thirds', may have made this better, not sure.

Very nice image. Good placement and subject. Something is telling me that the contrast could use a slight adjustment but not quite sure. Probably just my monitor.

Good luck

Great shot. I love it that tigers are the only big cat that enjoys swimming. The movement of the water and coloration against the golden hues of his fur is a nice contrast. I like the reflection as well. I wish his eyes a a touch of sparkle in them.
