Well, second attempt in a challenge. As usuall I don't have enough time for it.
Taken in natural light form the left and a white cardboard used as a reflector which I held in my right hand.
In PS crop (the reflector), levels on face and background, blur background. Burn/dodge hair. Some color balance (probably not enough as I am red/green blind).

Post challenge:
Thx for the commetns and votes. I'll just add that the color bloches (orange and some purple) where not visible on my screen as well as the halo around the head.

Great expression and clarity. Strongly emotive shot. Not sure about the purple tinges from editing, but I do like the overall effect.

Greetings from the Critique Club!

Wow, I love the expression! Very well done and unique. I love unique!

Reading through the comments you already received there really isn't much I can add to this. The horizontal cropping would really empasize the long face and some adjustments for the colors would make this a very interesting and fun shot!

Good Luck!

I'm seeing more looney than evil - not to diisparage your model... An interesting idea. I see what I think is post-process halo around the head (I've done this, and quite badly). I'm not sure if I like it or not. I do think the textured background is a little distracting. Still an nicely done portrait.
Perhaps instead of the prince of darkness, yo've captured the prince of insufficient light... (Sorry, an old Dilbert joke I've always wanted to use....)

why the square format? why not crop the sides to emphasize his long narrow face?

good background and lighting...photo is crisp and defined but your orange blotches hurt this in scoring...should tone the reds down. 6

Pose is different and fine, no problems there. On my monitor at least I'm geting some weird colors splashed in here that don't look intentional, such as purple band all around the hairline and a wierd shade of green starting to show itself on the top of the head. Might be from processing, not sure.

Not a bad portrait at all, could maybe just be cleaned up a little.

On my screen there is some odd orange highlights down the nose and along the forhead, plus a purplish tinge along his hair (although this may be his actual hair). I like the scowling face though.

well, I like this shot the shadow is a little distracting and if the background were true black it would look 100% but it looks great as is

Interesting. It may be a bit overprocessed, but this one at least made me stop and look at it for awhile!

That is just sinister! (although it does make me laugh too). I really like the slight glow from behind. Good job!

Scary! There's something about the slight purplish color at the hairline and in the shadow that is not just right but gives a certain effect to enhance the evilness so it's ok..the eye showing is cool..
