 Taken during the Atlanta GTG. Hope it does alright. Wanted to try a color high contrast shot, not sure how it will go over.

Used polarizer, rotated slightly, cropped, levels and curves adjustment, added a gradient layer in overlay mode, created a B&W layer using a high contrast B&W filter, then dropped the opacity a bit to bring some of the color through, usm, resized.

Especially like the stop-action of the water on this....... a great subject to experiment w/shutter speed. Time of day/lighting & shadow is very good and placement/capture of kids cooling off adds a interesting, essential human element.... an excellent work.

I expected this to finish much higher than it did (and I'm pleased to discover that it's your shot!). Really great capture. Love the processing. Congrats on a very strong shot and a solid finish!

I like the contrast of the water from the fountains. For me though, the foreground and sky seem overly done in a photo editing program to achieve greater contrast. The kids look like they're having a ball though. :)

Great use of light. I think this would work best square--I don't see the benefit of all the negative space on the top.

Striking image ... the spectacular water jets against the dark sky of course supply the contrast, but the positioning of the children is what makes it so interesting. 7

the light, especially on the left childern is very intriguing. everyone's body language is very interesting. the shot would have been raised to a level of fantastic for me if a few things occurred(that were obviously out of your control, but could potentially have happened): the boy on the right was standing in the light, there was only 1 boy on the left as their double position seems awkward, and the people in the background didn't exist. also the tower or light post isn't far enough above the fountain so it would be better hidden. hope my strange commentary helps in some way.

Very nice work with the contrast. I like the deep blue color in the sky. One thing that bothers me is that tower in the back. But you can't move towers. I really like how the rings pop.

I love the movement of the water. The colors are great. This is a nice mix of human, man made and natural. I like this alot.
