 Decided early on in the week I definately didn't want to do two objects that begin with D&L like "Dogs and Lamposts".

So with the big "No Smoking" thingy starting here in the UK soon I thought about a smoking shot. So I did a quick Google search to find out some gruesome names of the reported 4000 chemicals in the average cigarette. I think Dimethoxybenzine sounds brilliantly toxic but the chemicals beginning with "L" were a bit wimpier sounding and I ended up with Lechathin.

Lunch with an old friend resulted in her posing for this shot. Happy with it, I think it technically could be better but I think it has a nice gritty feel as is so I'm leaving it.

I predict the ribbon winner will be "Dogs and Lamposts"

Higher contrast and burning out the window a little bit to bring out the patterns in the smoke would have given this image an added kick.

very sharp, well lit. Not terribly interesting as a photo, but would make a good stock entry.

lol, love the dake on d and l and the picture is great. Nice use of b and w I think the only thing that will hold this shot back is the overall lean towards the darker side of the spectrum, that will make the ususers who don't have calibrated moniters see the picture as darker than it really is.

i am going to take your word for it on title. On photograph, it has realistic quality that I always admire. Reminds me of someones "break" at work.

Great title. The shot has a tad snapshot feel, but urban images often do, so ........ I like the sepia filter.
