Greetings from the Critique Club! :~D

This has a subdued romantic feel to it. I like the perspective and the nicely focused table setting. I think with the backdrop of the sunset, the eye doesn't really have a true place to rest. The complimentary colors of the tablecloth and the background work well, but it seems to have a sense of busy to it due to the clouds and all of the tableware, etc. The woman's blurred silhouette to the left is a tad distracting, but in a restaurant setting, I know it's hard to ask everyone to move so you can get the perfect shot. A tighter crop might have helped alleviate some of the side distraction. The two blurred lines running vertically on the glass hinder the overall quality of the photo as well. Part of that could be due to the late day shot and the lack of lighting. Perhaps since this was an advanced challenge, you could have utilized some of the tools available to fix some of the problems. Overall, it certainly has potential. From looking at your other photographs, I know for sure that you have both the eye and the creativity to continue with some great shots in the future! All the best, Judy

the revolving restaurant? Am I the only one who gets the blurred lines? Or am I on crack again?

The blurry vertical lines in the background are distracting. The table is well lit and the clouds add a nice background.

I like concept, but unfortunately those lines are very distracting (which I'm sure you couldn't help), along the the blurriness of the other patrons. I do like the lighting though - nice soft look to the table and it goes well with the sky.

Pretty view. I think I would've tried to get a crop where the person's head wasn't in - the blur is distracting.

Great shot, but I find the lines in the backgroud are distracting.

Potentially a good shot.... the lines are distracting and the motion blur takes away too much from the image as a whole

A lovely setting!...my only "gripe" are the 2 blurry lines running vertically across the sky...mainly because I can't figure out what they are...is this a restaurant at the top of a tall structure that rotates or moves somehow? I can tell this is a longish exposure, due to the blur of the figures I see at the edges of the image, I really like that "blur", it makes this image somewhat "dreamy"...anyway...this is a very intriguing picture...beautiful light.

Was this taken in a revolving resturant. Looks like there is a great view from here.

cool picture, but there's no way I'd guess what the D&L are without the title, and I think that meeting this challenge requires a visual cue
