Not sure where the idea came from but I thought it was a little surreal. Blue-dyed water in the syringe and sprayed on the orange. Taken with natural light and my new close-up lenses. Played with saturation/levels.

You say you run a roadside fruit stand...?

Love the humor in this one! Did the blue stuff actually exude from the orange or did you have to add that to the outside?

Fun idea! White background seems blown out, but it kind of adds an interesting, sterile mood to this.

Probably the best one this challenge, congrats!

You are a very strange person. Well, as obviously very set up shots go, this one definitely wins in terms of 'most unusual' -- it's not terribly arty or commercial, it's apparently just set up for the joke. Contrast wise between the sets of complementary colours, you did a fine job, particularly with the light angle given the orange the yellowish-fading-to-orange cast. About the only flaw perhaps is the white space is a little overwhelming -- maybe a slightly larger syringe with more blue would have cured this.

fun! And visually excellent. I'm impressed you got the green drops to look so green even against the orange.

the white background unfortunately washes the syringe out, i love the concept and think you did a good job setting it up, but i'd like to see more of the syringe, either physically or by reducing the brightness

Now aren't you clever! This comes over very well. Get a print ready for sale.

Haha... nice idea. Perhaps the orange could have been lit better. A bit overexposed on the left side, while a bit in the dark on the right side. I like it though.

Not sure I really 'get' this idea. Meets the challenge and quite well shot though.

lol....nice idea...lol

Interesting concept. Not sure about the composition. Having the needle fall off the frame in the corner makes the shot more aggressive then it should be I thiink. Maybe a lower angle would help. 7 -danny

I think this is an interesting composition, but the drops on the orange seem to diminish the theme just a bit for me... maybe not the 'theme' but the overall visual appeal of the photo... = 6

I like the idea and the background. I wish the orange were more appetizing, though. Good use of the colors. 7.
