strong contrast - very effective

Ugly

Shows nice gradations in the pot and sugarbowl. Good exposure and contrast. The one highlight near the bottom of the pot is slightly distracting, and I'm not sure that cutting off the pot at R was the best compositional choice. Looks slightly tilted to R.

nice choice

good lighting, maybe just a little flatter to lessen the spectral highlight on pitcher.

Pretty porceiaine, photographed fairly nicely. It's not that interesting to me though :/

i think i understand why you cut one off, but i rather it hadn't been the tea pot

Yes, its black and white, but nothing here grabs me.

Well-done white-on-white. The upper-right background has some noise or background which is a MINOR distraction, and might also just be from JPEG...

The contrast between the black background and the white objects is too stark, I think. I'd like to see more grays.

like the pattern - wish it was with a cup and saucer, push the sugar dish back and the handle would be nice in the shot. good job.

I beleve this is the only submition that is truly of Black and White. This is great. What's that noise in the upper right background.

Very nice! The dark background works very will in this photo. The lighting angle you have provided for this subject does a nice job of highlighting the designs on this porcelain... White on white is hard to do and you have done a nice job with it! Great shot!

Difficult to achieve, harder to print. Except for one area adjacent to the spout on the teapot, you nailed both. The design is as clear as if I were looking at it live.

Neat b&w.

The look suspended in air. Nice effect.
06/03/2002 03:27:00 PM
Nice contrast.

The gray visible wall space behind the right one doesnt work well with the rest of your uniform black background.

could have had complete shot of teapot.
