I wish the top of the gate/fence had been level. :(

This may be best in show. So well composed to create the emotional payload of rain and a dreary day. Hope it ribbons!

nice b/w. not sure if the gate adds or takes away, but an interesting element anyway :-)

nice candid image! i like the focus on the guy and the fence... too bad he's a bit short because the nose is too close to the top of the fence IMHO... great capture... 6

This is a pretty good shot. I think the B/W works well. Not sure about the composition though - the railing hides the guy's expression. Still, not a bad entry.

Great capture. I like everything about this one. The umbrella right above the line of the metal gate is great. Perfect lighting. You can een see the droplets from far away. Really really good. On 2nd review, I'm still enjoying this shot alot. The title couldn't be more appropriate! 9

Nice black adn white. The composition is a little static to me, but I really can't put my finger on what exactly should be changed.

b/w is perfect for this shot. The only disconcerting element is the height of the fence, but I don't think you had much control over that and still be able to get part of the person's face. Nice shot.

I like this shot. Just wish the fence was lower.

Good, moody composition. I like how claustrophobic his face is between the umbrella and the top of the gate.

Awesome catch! I like the anonymity of the subject.

I really like how natural this shot is..it has a great feel to it. BW great choice. I don't mind the bar in his face..he is blocked off, but that adds to the idea of peeking at him for me.

Oh, just so friggin' great! Let me look at this awhile...

...beautiful! The placement of the subject in the frame...the face between the top rail and the bottom of the umbrella...the perfect shutter speed that allows us to catch the falling rain but hold the subject in focus...the toning...even the curve of the umbrella handle between the rails. Great work! 10 and nothin' but!

'6' - Nice shot for the Challenge. The b/w works well. Criticism; I would like to see more 'blur' but you'd likely lose the rain more. Something to bring out the rain drops more than the fence and 'passer by' (somehow, no idea how) would make this shot have more impact (specially for the Challenge) in my opinion. Maybe an 'unusual' cropping somehow, not sure.

Interesting photograph. Would not be as good without the fance/rail. I like it very much.

i like this shot, the black and white work well in my opinion, the only thing im not a fan of is the bar across the man's face... of course sometimes these things cant be helped, aside from that, great shot!
