I was really debating about submitting this photo because the subject matter is not all that spectacular. It's just a purple and yellow lighter stacked together and placed on a mirror with my computer screen in purple mode being used as the background. This was my only picture out of several attempts at different subjects where the colors actually came out as true purple and yellow. My husband liked it and talked me into submitting it.

Engaging and intriguing composition. It could use just a little room at the bottom, but nice shot!

Very nice composition. I would prefer a sharper focus on the top one. The yellows appear to be orange though.

First impression:
Nice colors

It definitely meets the challenge
This was pretty clever of you to make 4 lighters out of 2.
The use of the mirror was great.

Lighting may need to have been diffused just a little.
To me, it is washing out the top edges of the top lighter.
The angle may have been the other solution.

Once again, excellent job and my pick this week.

Huh.

It fits the theme, and it's an interesting photo, but I think the background probably should have been another shade, and the angle might have been better on the sides of the lighter -- the shininess of the metal draws the eye away from the contrast and onto the shiny yellow bits.

nice colors - very neon - which goes well with the shiny gold. balanced composition, a sense of depth.

like the tones on this shot although the glare off the metal is a bit distracting, primarily in the top lighter. good shot

Ha...lol new view...

Dramatic, but I think that the colors would be more represented if the lighting were a little more even.

The crop might be a little less on the left. The frame touches the "wheels" a bit.

excellent use of complementary colors... This photo also offers some intrigue for how it was done :) The exposure on this one seems a little hot overall. The yellow cast on the chrome elements of the lighter seem to be working with the color theme... = 6
