General: I commented on this during the challenge and I will try to overcome the shortcomings due to the size of the photo. Something bigger would make it easier to evaluate.

Here's the link for the resizing tutorial: //www.dpchallenge.com/tutorial.php?TUTORIAL_ID=8 . Even if you don't use photoshop there is probably a tool or a save-as option that will help in getting a better sized photo for submission. One thing you can do is to go back and review your submission after it has been accepted. This will generally give you an idea of the viewing size.

Handheld shutter speeds are usually 1/30 sec and faster. If your camera/lense has image stabalization you can generally go 1-2 stops slower. The use of a tripod at the speed you chose would have sharpened the image.

Composition: Highlighting the colours in the sky is definitely a good idea for this image. They are strong and catch the viewer's attention. I do feel that the horizon is too low in the picture therefore unbalancing it. I wouldn't have zoomed/cropped so much. By leaving just enough in the foreground to draw the viewer in adds impact.

Exposure: Since the colours in the sky are the main event here the exposure is probably just right.

Impact: The colour of the sky definitely plays big in this area. Only one drawback, there's not enough (IMO) in the foreground to draw the viewer in to the photo.

Good luck with future submissions. And most of all..... Have Fun....

If this were (a) bigger, (b) more detailed, and (c) better focused, it might well have gotten a 10 from me. Of course, I'm a sucker for pretty clouds with good sharp tree-silhouettes in front of them, so I'm biased. :->

Its alright, although I would've enlarged the image size.

Pretty colours, but a very small shaot which makes it hard to judge. Looks nice from here, though. I think it might be better with the fdark bit cropped off the top.

Nice colours but a bit on the small size.

clean, clear, crisp shooting,
This is small because? No matter, a good shot, and the colors are fantastic!! Beautiful.

it looks like a nice photo, but you lose so much detail when you make it so small.

Shame that the picture is so small. Beautiful colours though. 4

I really feel this should be larger - it's very hard to make anything out in a picture this size.

I get the feeling that this is a small portion of a much larger picture. The colour is very strong and catches the viewer's attention. In order to rate this image on exposure and composition I would need to see it larger. Look at the tutorials. I believe there is one on resizing images to make them bigger.

Nice, but too small to judge the picture quality properly.

Beautiful sunset, but the picture needs to be bigger for us to appreciate it. ~7

Almost too small to tell, can you make it bigger?
