Munsinger Gardens. An employee.
pp. Multiply, merge, dup, radiant filter, reduced to about 50%, dodge face, rotate, resize, sharpen, edge preserving smooth to help reduce file size, resize, light usm.
These gardens were created and endowed by a businessman in town. His wife had ms and was confined to her house. This land was empty and just outside her bedroom. He wanted her to be able to see something pretty when she looked out the window. It started as a rose garden and now takes up a couple of city blocks.

I really thought this would do much better....but going back and reading the comments....apparently severeal "didn't get it" :/ My guess is they've never had a garden or raised flowers when they were growing up so have no idea how family oriented this really is.

I really really like this. The title is excellent in explaining....I don't pay attention to borders or titles unless the title can help to clarify... 10!

Interesting photo - well composed, interestingly processed; kind of a 'universal woman/modern earth mother' concept, THEN the title. After more than a few viewings, I like it better and better.

beautiful capture but it's a stretch for the topic, IMO.

Incorporating growth with the tile works well with her watering the flowers

Very good title for your entry. And a good composition as well. Good work... I my opinion this could be a winner ;)

This is a nice photograph; better than some I've voted higher. It's interesting and visually appealing, and a clever, effective composition. My only problem is that, notwithstanding your efforts to the contrary with your title, it's not about family. At least not to me. The fact that the subject is a member of a family, even if it's YOUR family, doesn't make it an image about family. I might have voted it 8 in another context, but in this one, 6.

great color , great saturation , well lit , excellent lines ... I assume the person in the shot is a family member hence the relevance of the shot ... well composed ...

This is a lovely garden shot. The colors are wonderful and the composition is very pleasant. But..... sorry, just doesn't say family to me.

I like the lines and the composition of this but the green seems a tad too saturated to me. The triangle effect of the walkways is a good way to bring the eye to the subject. Her wearing a white shirt amidst all the color does the same thing. 7

Beautiful garden...love the colors. If it were not for the title, though, I wouldn't have thought of this as representing a family theme. Actually, with the face covered and the clothes they are wearing, the person could be a man just as well.

im not particularly fond of a single person representing the idea of family. but it's a lovely image and the title helped create the non-visible bonds. 7.

Nice photo, but I don't see a family theme here other than the title.
