the image is cool, but it gives the impression that film is okay to use. People remember visuals more than text.

Film?

I like the design, but the use of a film canister probably dilutes the digital theme of the site.

Film motif doesn't make sense, since its use is prohibited. A camera (even a film one -- who can tell?) would have worked better. Maybe a film can with the international red circle-slash ("Not") symbol would work though...

Great concept, but the film is misleading.

I like the idea except would prefer seeing a camera in place of the film cartridge and still have the photos coming out of it.(7)

why would a digital photo contest show film to advertise itself?

Good... among my favorite. Maybe the ribbon could have had some color.

thats a little bit deceptive

I really like this one but since it's Digital Photography I think the roll of film gives the wrong idea. Just my thought.

Hmm.. well I'm back to this one.. I really like it more and more. Two things: 1) Make the Ribbon a little bigger, bluer, slightly 3D looking (more texture), and finally, locate it higher and behind the "dpchallenge" at the top. 2) Make the URL bigger or stand out more some how. This one could also be the winner. :) Good job!!

Even though you can create digital images from film, a picture of a flash card may have been more appropriate.

maybe if it's sharper, and more vivid colours. But a nice concept

The film and digital stand out as contradictory. I don't care much for the mottled background

The text is a little bit spotty, but I really like the concept! Nice work!

I like the idea. I think you should just do away with the ribbon and move the film roll more to the left. Also try making the film and roll look more distinct - darker colors at least

Interesting idea but the film cannister really doesn't say DIGITAL photography to me. That said, it's nicely put together. Not keen on textured green background.

The film image is a no -no.

i think a film canister is out of place in a digital photo site... :)

the film seems out of place for a digital challenge...

fantastic work, and Idea, easy to the eye, and to the point.

It's digital photography, yet you show a film canister. Not apropos.

cool design, but it's kind of odd to use a roll of film to advertise a digital only photo site.
