Greetings from the Critique Club :)

Hi Inede...

This photo meets the challenge... the motorcycle is definitely transportation. I also understand your tie in with the title.

The overall image quality doesn't impress me in this particular shot... It feels too much like a simple snapshot with a particular bit of humor in it.

My problem, as personal as it may be, is that I look for photographs that have more artistic potential as something that I would hang on my wall. When it comes to religious humor, I have to bite my tongue so that I don't take a chance on offending anyone or saying anything that I would regret.

I could discuss the technical aspects of this photo, but I think they have been hit on in your challenge comments already...

I like this photo very very much and gave it a high mark. This is a great "catch." There's definitely an interesting story here and I feel I would like to get to know more about the pastors and about this chruch and where they are taking the parishoners. The bright lighting outside works with the darkness inside of the church to give it an eerie feel... also makes the lettering stand out on the sign above, which is very important. Photographically, I have a couple of nitpicks...first, I think the photo should have been rotated about 2 degrees left and secondly, the glare in the left most door. Maybe a polarizing filter could have taken care of that This is the first photo I've found on DPC since I"ve joined to really get me excited !. Should be in Life Mag

the blacks look grey. adjust the black level some and tilt a little counterclockwise

Good subject. The bike is lost in the expanse of white.

Is the focus of this Photo the Bike or the Church? They seem separate entities in this photo. Maybe if you shot it at a different angle, or found someother way to tie the two more together... (6)

what a great find! :) I wonder if the two riders of this "hell machine" are inside that church? LOL I would have preferred a little more saturation on that yellow valance, just because it contrasts nicely against the dark bricks, nice shot!

Is this supposedly a culture contrast? I like the idea, though something seems to be missing. Not quite a head on shot, which I don't think would work here anyway, but not enough of an angle to give a slanted perpective.

Nice photo. Exposure seems a little off to me. 8

nice find and symmetry, too bad the sun and shadows weren't as cooperative as they could have been, but still it's a very fun shot. i also like the double take on the competition (like my outtake of the funeral home next to the travel agency).

I think the sign distracts the attention away from the subject here - I feel the bike should really be the focal point to really tie in with the theme.

lol - nice pun. Did you set it up or find it that way?

Wonderful juxtaposition! What a great eye for drama! The light is a bit harsh, but with a candid like this, it's forgiveable!

The title is very good, and the contrast is in the subject not the photo colours

Not enoght focus on bike. The church name is dominating.

I really like this photo. It's ironic and makes you think. It seems to lean (maybe?) a bit to the left. Not sure about that, but a great attempt at a somewhat dull challenge. Good job.
