Greetings from the Critique Club
First off I would like to start by saying excellent use of DOF... Bod this is really a clear crisp image with the back completely blurred.. I love it! Although you got a lot of comments on the soft focus, I like it, it emphasizes how delicate these flowers are. I'm not sure why you got so much grain in the background... I see you took the picture at ISO 160, so there should be almost no grain unless you cropped in a huge ammount, though it doesn't look that way to me. I feel like I'm standing over them looking down which is kind of cool... excellent focus on the stamens... this is a very tame colored, nice soft picture that gives the picture a fresh feeling... it's just very pretty... the lighting is perfect imho. The only thing lacking in this photo is that final OOMPH... theres nothing that makes me really sit back and say WOW! But, it is very nicely done, and technically not bad at all. Congrats on your good score!

| Almost sharp, almost good. A little sharper and this is a very successful entry. Not bad as is, but it needs to be taken a little sharper. Judging by the grain in the photo, if you sharpened it one more time, it'd go grainy. |

| Your point of view here and composition with the flowers right in the middle really emphasize the delicate nature of these flowers. Sharp focus would enhance the feeling even more. Nice lighting and background. |

| Stunning photo. What are these flowers anyway?? They are gorgeous. I would like to have seen more light on the flowers, or seen the contrast boosted a little; I would kind of like to see the white petals a little more "stark" against the black background. Composition is great, and the border works well. |

| Wonderful sharpness, fanatstic saturated greens and really nice "white" whites. I also like that even though the shot is centered, subject itself stretches out in diagonals from the center. That adds a lot of visual interest. Beautiful shot. 9 |

| Most everything about this photo is perfect in my eyes. I like how the flowers literally pop out of the picture. They are arranged nicely and the background is perfect. It just appears that the flowers are a tad out of focus...as they lost some detail because of it. Plus, I'd like the border to be more black...now that's just being picky. Otherwise, a very beautiful picture....9 Good Luck! |

| This is lovely. I might have liked it a little less sharpened, but I tend to like the softer looks with flower shots. Even with that I am giving it a 9, as I think it's one of the best shots for this challenge I've seen yet. |
