The game of chess is played one decision at a time. A battle of wits and choices. Hopefully this applies and my photo is well received. Thanks.

Nice picture; great facial expression vis-a-vis the challenge. Hard to believe it as a serious game of chess, though ... the black king is in a preposterously advanced position for a game with so many pieces still in play. Maybe he plays like Elway did?

The best picture of all the chess entries in this challenge..like the sepia tone and the expression on the man's face, also the clothing adds a lot of character to the shot...7

An excellent study. If not for some burnt out areas and a few distractions in the background this would have got a 10 from me. As it is, 9.

Excellent picture. I've always liked watching chess players outside (i.e. Washington Square in NYC) and I like how you've captured the mood of those games. My only comment in the highlights seem a little overblown.

The white chair on the right is a bit distracting and I wouldn't have missed it if it was cropped out. Otherwise a great photo - lovely use of sepia & grain. It gives it a very 'real' feel.

I like this one a lot. Very nice catch. It looks like life is passing by and they dont pay any attention - they're focused on the game... Essentially, i like the feel of the pic.
Technically, it seems pretty good. Nice choice of colors, it works really good here. Good job.

Oh yeah. . . he looks heavy into the decision making process. The cepia tones look great with the kind of mood and image your are conveying. I like it a lot.

i love an intense game of chess. great setting. nice sepia. BRONC...a little distracting, but i wouldn't want to interrupt his game and ask him to remove his jacket.

I enjoyed the reality in your (I think) unstaged entry. The intensity has been captured so very well here. One of my high scores for this challenge.
