This may go down in the annals as one of the bigger mistakes I've made but hey - why not?

I fully expect to get a measure of hammering for the soft focus and that's alright -- it IS a pinhole photo afterall and they tend to be like that.

But it was a worthwhile test and proof of concept ... taken handheld with a 300 micron pinhole attached to a digital SLR. Perhaps one of my favorite things about using the pinhole is that the DOF is uniform from the nearest blade of grass (less than an inch away) to the trees, church and houses several hundred feet away and all the way to the clouds that may be miles out.

And ... as a worst case scenario, it stands a reasonable chance regardless of rating to be listed among the highest rated shots for Other Pinhole in the lens listings. I can live with that .. ;o)

Pinhole? Did you make it yourself? That's really cool, I guess no-glass can't really compete with L-glass hehe

I'd like to try this :)

Woah. I think you need to have something in focus in this image, either the grass or the mower or both. This photo is so blurred i feel drunk looking at it!

Interesting idea and perspective, but the photos is very hard to look at since nothing is in sharp focus.

This could be improved by the grass being in focus and taking up more of the frame.

I don't feel that the image conveys instantly recognizable decision. I also don't like that the entire image is blurred. Nice attempt.

The concept of a decision leads me hoping for some sense of anticipation in the image. Without the title, this image appears as a very out of focus, ground-based shot of a blue sky with some powerlines. The building in the background is well-placed int he composition, but the mower is almost totally lost in the way that it blends with the building's leading lines. Although the decision on when to mow meets the challenge, the technical points behind this image leave me rating it a one.

Nothing in focus. Without the title, might not fit the challenge. Might have been better with a small object hidden in the grass...

Good colour saturation, but focussing could do with some work.
