Challenge: Decisions (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Olympus D-550Z
Location: My kitchen
Date: May 28, 2005
Galleries: Still Life, Black and White
Date Uploaded: May 28, 2005

The original photo was taken with natural light, with an incandescent chandelier above. White balance was compensated for indoors, exposure compensated to +0.5. Flash was off. Then I reworked it in my editing program by first changing to b&W and then sepia toning it.

Hi. If I could offer just one piece of advise for your photography, it would be to study composition. From looking at your entries, you seem to understand lights and exposure(even though most of your's are really bright, perhaps caused by post-processing?). What they suffer from most is the "centered" disease. I'm still in that phase too! But it causes the picture to lack excitement, if you know what I mean.
On this picture, did you consider what story the objects tell? Was there a reason to include all the vases? What about the tilted picture? So a second piece of advise would be to only include objects that support what you are trying to say. hth

Do objects make decisions??? I don't believe this image meets the challenge visually

Yes. You approached this like I did. The photo decision. I like what you did for this.

I don't feel that the image conveys instantly recognizable decision. Infact the title left me more confused. Nice photo however.
