 This was done using the "Painting with Light" technique. I turned the lights out, and used a small pen light to "paint" the light onto the pears during the 30 seconds that the shutter was open.

Post Processing: crop, neat image, cloned out a couple blemishes on the pears, color balance, selective color to darken blacks, resize, unsharp mask, save for web.

This is simply magnificent. I've never seen a fruit still life as beautiful in my life. The colors and lighting is too lovely for words.

Thumbnail caught my eye, Fullsize is even more beustifull..
Excellent light, not too harshe at any point on any of the pears.
If I had one small nitpick, it would be one of the pears has lost most of its stem, but thats not enough to distract me from giving you a full blown 10!

I'm very happy to see this, a simple still life with classic, unadorned "modeling" light. Beautifully rendered. You can actually FEEL the surfaces here. 10

Holy crap, this is some seriously good lighting! :-) This is an outstanding still life photo with rich detail, nice composition and absolutely professional lighting. Very nicely done.
