Using fog as a theme in a picture is always tricky. It's the nature of fog to absorb any color in the picture, and to blur any details. With that in mind, I tried to find the most simplistic setup possible that already had little, to no color naturally. Why fight the nature of the beast?

I wasn't a member during this challenge, but I think you got ripped off! This deserved a much higher score. Excellent work! :)

Nice approach to the challenge! The lack of background due to the fog really creates an additional intrigue as to what else is out there. Very nicely done!

Hmm....at first I did not like...the more I think about it I do...good capture of the fog! Good compositon. Feels a bit chilly....needs something to pull in the eye in the foreground.

excellent work... the fog creates a nice sense of 'emptiness' in this image... great work :) - setzler

Very interesting shot. The fog is a nice touch. I wonder if it would be possible to bring out the detail of the tree without losing too much of the effect.

Nice moody and lonely image. Very forlorn. I like it. Because of the lack of contrast, it's all rather flat but that was the aim, right? :) Good composition. Nicely framed by the tree. 7 Journey

yikes! that's desolate fog. Nice job with the tree and the two lonely benches.

Interesting Subject. I like the idea. Maybe a siple boarder would add to this photo.

I really like the potential of this shot. It might have been a stronger shot with a much tighter crop just to the left of the left most bench. Boosting the contrast would have also made it a bit more dramatic. I like what pictures story is, with the two empty benches and the fog, I just feel the negative space to the left is distracting. Still one of my top 20 shots this week.

Oh yeah this is weather for sure! Good shot, and well done too. The way you have turned a simple photo of a couple benches, a rubbish bin and a tree into this fine shot is amazing. The crop of the tree is ideal, however I wouldn't have left so much space on the left of the benches. The benches are a little too central here.

This photo works. I stared at it for a while and decided that you deserve credit for having to suffer through this in April. I suppose that the lack of focus IS the focus here...maybe work the angle on what is tangible in the picture a bit better, but I do like and it definitely is weather!

Lovely negative space in that fog. Kind of gives me a solitary feeling, which is always welcome.

The best foggy picture in the lot. I can't think of anything that I would have done differently. Well focused and no distractions. What a dreary day!

I like the foggy images with benches. You've done it well. Wish it was cropped in closer a bit more to provide more of a connection/emotion. But, that doesn't detract too much from this one. Well done.
