Brrrr.... Tonal range you have captured definitely conveys a distinct feeling. However, I'm not sure the off-level horizon works very well. (While the tree in the foreground appears perfect, I find the buildings in the distance to be somewhat distracting due to their not being level.) Just my opinion, though! |

would love if the horizon wasn't tilted - I feel everything is sliding off to the left |

Very pretty picture. The tree looks vertical but the horizon is slanted to the left. If the horizon and the fence lines were parrrallel to the bottom edge, I feel it would have been a more pleasing to the senses. I also thiink a little more of the fore ground would have added a sense of what the weather was like. |

I'm glad you pointed out that it's not black & white. I forgot how dreary it gets up there sometimes. Nice balance in this photo. The tree and fence stand out well with the objects in the background. |

I can't believe its not butter, I mean black and white! :) That's definitely weather!
The horizon is a little tilted though..makes the picture slightly awkward. |

Have you had tons of people commenting on the fact that the horizon is off and would be a better photo if you made sure it was parallel to the bottom of the frame? Even so, the picture has great atmosphere and reminds me why I now live where there is no real winter. :) |

Excellent exposure, that IS bad weather! The only disturbing part is the horizon is crooked. |

It's a shame that the horizon is at a strange angle! |

Would have been awesome had the shot been leveled out a bit. I feel like I'm sliding out of my chair as I view this, I'm afraid... |

strange tilt that would be very difficult to correct for this challenge |

It's a "little" bit tilted to the left. |

Good focus on the weather, but why is the photo crooked? Was it intentional? |

Horizon not level. Its quite brave to try and show a heavily overcast day. |

Good idea to point out this is a colour shot - you could definitely miss that! Pretty grey place then hey? Effective shot (if kinda depressing :) ). 7. |
