CC ~for you Gordon

Fits The Challenge-Wow yes.
Composition-Fantastic/DuoTones perfectly perfect.
Background-Just right
My Opinion-Okay I admit it, I love this shot and I'm honored to do the CC. THIS shot is SUPER. I really love it. It's a 10 all the way. (imho)I come from a long line of 'west Texans' This symbolizes the challenge with movement. Nice work as always Gordon. The fact that we can read the sign (ad) makes this all the better. Wonderful shot.

Gordon,

Great shot. This one tells a story. Nice use of thirds and what apears to be duotones.

Curious photo -- is it creating or using energy?

Great idea and well done.

Thanks god, just when I thought I would be forever looking at pictures of sunsets and snow, someone actually posts a picture that "shows the effects of weather", and its a great photo as well!!! I love the use of duotones, of which I am a big fan (plain B&W doesn't do it for me baby!!!)... This may be my only 10 this week, WELL DONE!!!!!!! (and thanks for saving my sanity!)

Excellent job. You can almost hear the wind roaring in your ears.

Great vintage looking photo with nice motion. Very well done. The logo on the back of the windmill really sells this picture. 10

Nicely done. I like the way the motion of the blades is captured while the tail remains clearly focused.
04/17/2003 11:36:27 PM
Great shot. I like the slower shutter speed, and the writing on the tail came out great! I think the boarder is a little too thick. (9)

Good job, excellent shot! Nice angle and good choice of hue.

great wind shot, I love the treatment with the bw (purply) tone.
04/16/2003 02:29:48 PM
Yours is the only photo to realy capture the wind in an undisputable way. Good job.

Reminds me of the family farm in Kansas. Great shot.

Very cool "platinum" black and white. Love the tones. Great DOF for this shot. Love the action too

Good job.. Definitely shows wind! 8

This is great! The motion on the wind wheel comes through well, shows me it is VERY windy there. Good weather shot, without really showing the weather, well done.

Very nice capture. As I look at it more, I think it's stronger than I first realized. The movement in the blades with the crispness of the tail and stand, really work well. This is now in my top 10 this week. -danny

excellent work... the motion of the windmill is perfect :) - setzler

You capture not only the motion of the blades as they turn, but a dramatic emotion as well, due to the superb lighting and contrasts. Super work!

Excellent windmill image.

Great photo. Nice use of b/w (duotone?). Good composition. Nice border. Good feel and character to this image. Only knock is that the back of the sign is a bit washed out. Very well done!! 9 md

Very cool shot! Love the black and white!
04/14/2003 05:05:13 PM
A shame it's blacked out at the top, but it gives a great impression of a strong wind.
Nicely composed and I like the colour. Good focus/sharpness on the tail. Nice shot, well done.

Beautiful. I love it how the picture makes you feel the wind. -10

This pic took far longer than most to load up in my browser - is it definitely under the 150KB limit? Still effective though - couldn't you have come up with a slightly more imaginitive title? 7.
