| Flowers will always do well in color contests, be they fresh or dried. Your flower is also very good especially as it gives me the impression of crispness. I can almost feel the crisp dry petals. The DOF is shallow and effective, good job - 8. |

| A bleak view of love? The rose is red, and it being dead with that title communicates that to me. I like the image. The light and composition are well done, and the focus is also very good. |

| The clarity is great however you could have gotten a nicer looking rose I think. But you are right on with your artistic ability. When one thinks of love one looks deep inside of oneself and you can for sure see deep inside of it here. Very nice shot. |

| When I see this I think texture before I think color. The detail of the surface is amazing. Along the lines of color, it is unusual to see a red rose depicted in this faded rusty form - good! |
