You have been selected via a random game in the forums where we all typed in a random image number. Yours came up for me :)

Great action shot! Love the emotion in the faces and in the drama. How was the color version? B&W gives a nice timeless feel, but just wondering.

:) Have a great day!

Amazing action. You've done an outstanding job of catching the emotion of the game... well done!

Nice shot. I tried something like this but never got anything worth looking at. I like the b/w because I think all the different colors would've distracted the viewer.

Nice action shot, framing could be better

Good timing, but composition is too tight, IMO, bg is distracting and focus looks off. Don't know if B/W was a good choice here, although it does give that newspaper look.

Nice action. I think the black and white works well here.

Great action shot! The only thing I would have tried to change is to not cut off the top of the batter's head I really like this photo!

nice action shot but i don't like the perspective. it doesn't tell enough of the story

He looks safe to me! Nice Shot.

A lot of action and a great story teller. I would have liked to see the rest of the young man in the background.

Reminds me of a 60's newspaper sports page shot. Nice use of B&W

Nice shot

Nicely caught action. A faster shutter speed could reduce blur on the kid's face on the right. I'm not sure if b/w is necessary.

Doesn't look like a steal play, but a nice photo...

Brilliant action shot. The black and white works really well in my opinion, placing more emphasis on the shapes and movement than on particular objects.

Very nice capture... This is an excellent photo for this challenge... I don't like the batter's head being clipped off but I know these types of shots are spur of the moment.. you don't have much time to think about framing and composition... good job!

Nice action capture. Like the use of B&W here. The crowd in the background is a little distracting, but what are you gonna do about that huh? Nice photo.
05/20/2002 02:35:00 PM
Good Zone technique, story, and subject matter balance.
05/20/2002 01:58:00 PM
You get points for being obviously unstaged and spontaneous. I love looking at the faces of the batter and the catcher. Obviously, you clipped his left hand, and the top of the batter's head.

Fun action shot. Love the black and white. The composition is poor with the heads cut off.
05/20/2002 06:55:00 AM
nice action shot

This is a great stop action shot, a bit difficult to do, and I don't even like baseball!
