Great game, although I've gotta say I hate those new pieces. Don't know what your oof head in the bg adds. Some black paper might have been a better choice.

I always sucked at this game but this is a very interesting and well taken photo. I wish the person appeared like they were concentrating a little more instead of looking into the camera.

I love the angle and DOF of this picture and I'm sure you are going to get people saying the exact opposite of this--but I think it
would have been better without the face in it. This is just IMO, of course. I think it is because it throws the perspective off and takes
away from the impact of the game.

I think the face distracts from the pieces.

Cool board! Jury is still out on the face in the background. Photo 8 Creativity 8 Games 8 total 8

Would have been better as an overhead shot.

it would've been mad without the face...

nice view

Risk is a fun game... I can't make up my mind if I really like the 'guy' in the background or not... I am wondering what the photo would look like without his presence... excellent photo, great composition... good job!

I think the head in the background doesn't help to show how the game is played: perhaps a hand or two near the pieces like it's ready to move them.

The face in the background adds something to this that a lot of other photos of board games in this challenge completely lack, ie. a bit of life, a bit of the attraction of playing games. I like it :)

A good idea, but I think the person in the background detracts from the shot and pulls the focus away from the subject. A plain backdrop might have worked better.

Foreground is great. I'm not a fan of the head in the background though - it seems to take too much away from the 'action' in front

I like this, only too much red in the background face and wall. Zoom instead of macro or vise versa.

I am pretty sure the intent of this shot was to show the interaction of people with your game.......but I think it would have been a better shot without the human element.
05/21/2002 03:59:00 PM
Hehe... sweet. Reminds me of when me and my friends played Risk all the time.
05/20/2002 06:33:00 PM
I love this game!

i like the depth of field in the photo, but i am don't know if it works as well as it should since my eye has a tendency to return to the person at the back which is not in focus who is not the subject of the photo.
05/20/2002 10:51:00 AM
Well done.
05/20/2002 06:40:00 AM
i think this would have been better without the person in the background... just a nice black or white backdrop would have worked better. still, good photo.

Would have been better with a different backdrop (sans head)
