| The post processing on this shot is excellent. I so wish you would write a tutorial on how you got from the shot image to this one especially the sky I've been really struggling with skies in many of my shots. I just can not seem to grasp that. Well done on the third place. |

A couple of answers: no, no polariser: just taken with an awareness of what I could do later in PSP.
The upload date is that of my oringinal submission, taken well before this. This was shot 12th April. |

| What a striking image! Great use of processing to really enhance the image and bring out the perfect balance between foreground and backdrop sky... It's that greeny-yellowy lichen/ moss on the rocks that clinches this one for me. CONGRATS on the ribbon! |

So glad to see this take a ribbon. This was one of my favorites this challenge! Love the clarity and contrast of the almost surreal ground colors against that awesome sky! Used a polarizer right? Great job.

| A beautiful tree which captures the essence of Bonsai - the discovery and emulation of a full size tree is the inspiration behind the art. The centering works well - sky is a touch overcooked - but the light is great. Love it. |

| Normally I do not like borders, but this one works for me.... it compliments the photo instead of distracting from it. the tree looks as if it has weathered some storms in its day, and that is further protrayed in the stones it is growing from. Great job. Good luck. |

| Cool shot. It kinda works with the tree being centered, maybe because it looks like its pointing or bending to the left. Can't help but think if it would have been better if the tree wasn't so centered. |

| Beautiful shot, but what is it with these thick white borders that don't let you enjoy the photo as they keep pulling your eye away? It really does make a difference and it's sad that I feel the need to take points away because it spoils the photo. |
