 Got a great idea early on so i went for a ride.....(had to get my dad to drive all the stuff) to the beach, this was great fun but cold as h*ll......

here's how it was done.-
set the focus to my dad as he stood where i apear in the image....
then self timer as i ran up the small incline picked up the unbrella and waited for the shutter to fire....

when the light indicated it was about to snap, i yelled over to my dad off camera and he threw the books (should be six) it to the air and then......back down the hill to see if it came out.......

it took 3 or 4 tries but this came out of all of it......

in PS-
taken in raw i lightened it when it came in to PS then-
i did a brightness&contrast, curves, color adjust.....
then ran it through the sample neat image at a smaller size. re sized it to full finneshed editing curves 1 last time to help it pop.

down sized it and submited

if nothing else it was just a fun rebound from having just been DQed.....

very surreal. I like the blue sky. I'd like to see what it would feel like if it was cropped differently so the subject was on the left or right third instead of in the middle.

I don't like surrealism, but still try to vote on some. this is the first photo where i stop and give a big TEN. Well done!!

Nice idea, executed pretty well. I think it definitely fits the challenge well. I think the simplicity really helps to draw focus to the subjects (I found many entries of good ideas kind of busy, easy to get lost in). I'm not normally a stickler for the "rules" of composition, however in this case I do think that framing the subject to the right, bringing in rot, would make this a stronger shot. Nice job.
