 I almost didn't submit anything for this challenge. However, my sister invited me over for dinner and we spent about 30 minutes brainstorming what I could do for the surrealism challenge.

After our conversation, I noticed a really odd statue in her living room. It was two "half heads" with a hand holding up one of them. That's when the idea clicked. I told me sister to put her head behind one fo them and put her hand around the other head. She had just painted her apartment bright red. I messed around with her hair for a few minutes and hand placement. The rest is history. I think it turned out really good.

I did some global contrast adjustments and unsharp mask. That's about it. Cropped it and put it on a white background/border.

I usually have a pretty good idea how I will do in a competition. But for some reason, I have no idea what people will think of this. It's pretty abstract and surreal, if you ask me...but this crowd can be very unpredictable at times. Hopefully, I can score in the 25%...but it wouldn't surprise me if I ended up 50% or lower. We'll see what happens!

I get it and I like this alot but I just don't like the siver hand where it is, it cluod up the photo. Perhaps if teh girls back was to the viewer, and you could see the face over the shoulder, and a hand a silver hand was on her back or ass, now that might show what you want. nice anyway.

TRULY strange. Conceptually this is really "surrealism" as I understand it. One of the relative few images that "gets it". Aesthetically, I feel like there's too much red area... 9 from me
