This is a gorgeous photo. Good for you for sticking to your guns. Every suggestion someone offers is not necessarily a valid one or helpful to the photographer and you certainly have the right to ignore advice.
I love the dramatic lighting; it emphasizes her beautiful figure. It's called chiaroscuro folks and artists have been using it for centuries.
chiaroscuro - A word borrowed from Italian ("light and shade" or "dark") referring to the modeling of volume by depicting light and shade by contrasting them boldly.

I actually happen to like the lighting, it makes the picture more interesting. |

Virkilega flott mynd, frábært staðsettning á modeli og SvartHvitt (sebian) var vel valið fyrir þessa mynd.
Nice one. |

maybe I like it the way it is and I don´t want to change the lighting or anything else... |

The subject is daring (stains), but the pose and coloring are great. Very evocative. I was initially bothered by the light reflections on her shoulders, but other than that, wouldn't change a thing. Nice work! |

Well, in one sense its a little gross, but it's still a great shot. I'm sure some folks are finding it repulsive, but I like it. The toning is great, and it "tells a story." Or at least we can make up our own story :) |

The way the light splits the image into a light side and dark side is nice. If you could have gotten more highlight from the hair thingy rather than her two shoulders, it would have been good. |

The lighting from dark to light is perfect! The composition is great as well as the sepia toning. The title? Well.... 9 from me. |

Nice shot but needs more lighting behind her for my preference. (Not strong lighting but perhaps just some reflective secondary lighting.
Just my opinion though and perhaps others will like the moody darkness of the shot.

what exactly...um....are the stains....from? did you just, oh, well, i see, interesting, but that might not be so appropriate for this site. I think the image is great and artistic and i might not have even noticed, the, um, stains.....if you hadn't titled it that way. i think its going to hurt. but it seems well worth it! |

The lighting is not balanced between the top and bottom. I'm not sure the posing either. |

interesting shot... I think that a little more light on her back would make a stronger image overall... some of that extra detail would create more impact... nice work :) - setzler |
