This is my 9 month old puppy (my favorite subject). The photo is intentionally dark to highlight the steaks as the goal and the dog's sneakiness.

I'm not sure the photo is high enough quality to be in the running, but I thought it was cute anyway.

adjustments: I lightened the picture a little and toned down the saturation.

Really funny, creative concept, and fine capture of the dog's expression! Recomposing could take this image from good to great, i.e., eliminate all the elements that don't contribute to the story (the box on the floor, the wall hanging, light fixture, doorway), and make the Steak box more prominent in the frame so we can read it. A mixed result this time, but keep at it!

This isn't funny (or cute)!!! Our Black Lab did something like this. . . she got to our daughter's birthday cake before we could celebrate the day!. Nicely done. BOL

P.S. Comment about being "funny" was made tongue in cheek.

That dog has too much time on her/his hands!

Contrived, but a cute idea

Cute idea. Cute puppy!

I would have cropped the shot to avoid the light and, what I am assuming is, the kitchen area. I would also recommentd cloning out the box and what looks to be a crock pot out of the shot.

awww cute doggie

A clear background would have worked better (in my opinion).

Interesting idea but it looks like the photographer wasn't entirely committed to the shot. Tidying away the clutter and giving the doggy a touch of fill-flash would have been a bonus.

I think that this would work really well with the dog a touch brighter and with a crop from the left, so that the light is taken out of the frame.

Looks too set up. A little blurry. Good idea. Good composition. (though the room on the right should have been crooped out)

LOL Nice capture!

I think if you would have stood more towards the right, you could have eliminated the distracting adjoining room. Then you could have cropped the left side some.

Really quite an interesting shot. Two things that I might have done for this shot, beings this is a basic challenge I would have removed the box in the background prior to the shot as it is somewhat distracting. The other I would have cropped to just barely cropped the chair out on the right and just before (edge) of the light, removing the distractions on both sides would draw attention back to the dog. Cool concept.
